CERTIFIED HUMANE GOAT CARE

Meyenberg is proud to offer Certified Humane® fresh goat milk! We work closely with 25 California dairies – each one Certified Humane Raised & Handled® - to bring you the best tasting goat milk from cared-for, healthy goats. Certified Humane® is a rigorous animal welfare certification awarded by Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC), an independent, third-party nonprofit organization.

The accreditation means our partner dairies follow strict guidelines to ensure the goats are humanely cared for, have land to browse on, quality food to eat, and access to shelter. The goat dairies are visited by both the HFAC and Meyenberg’s team to ensure the animals are well cared for.

Goats are fed a well-balanced diet of hay and grain with plenty of fresh water. When natural vegetation is around, the goats are able to browse and enjoy. We visit the dairies periodically to see operations first-hand and to verify best practices are being followed. Our Vice President of Animal Care has worked with goat dairies for over 45 years and helps to ensure the goats and the dairy farmers are well taken care of.
